Is it necessary for the landlord to clean before the new tenant moves in?

If a landlord is renting out a flat, house, or rental propertyto a new tenant, the landlord must ensure that it is ready for the tenant to move in. If the home was previously rented, the previous renter should have performed an after-tenancy cleaning and properly handed over the property.

The new tenants have a right to a clean and sanitary environment, but they must also maintain that quality for the duration of their tenure. If the leasing agreement does not include free cleaning, the new tenant is responsible for looking after the home and keeping it clean and neat.

Everyone expects a clean property, and the party that is residing and the owners must look after it.
