Real estate commissionsare sometimes split among numerous persons. The commission in a typical real estate transaction is divided into four parts:
- The listing agent is the agent who obtained the listing from the seller.
- Listing broker—the broker who hires the seller's listing agent.
- Buyer's agent—the person or company who represents the buyer.
- Broker of the buyer's agent—the broker who employs the buyer's agent.
