Educational Qualifications for a Real Estate Sales Agent

If you can build a strong portfolio with demonstrated skills and abilities for the new real estatesales agent job, you may be called in for an interview.

Graduates and school leavers alike can apply for trainee real estate sales agent positions at local estate agencies or branches of larger agencies.

A degree is not required, but a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field such as building surveying, real estate, or planning and property development is advantageous.

You can obtain a number of professional qualifications as a real estate sales agent through Propertymark Qualifications. Propertymark is a division of NAEA, formerly the National Association of Estate Agents.

As part of your employment, the recruiter may look to you to complete these courses.

Although a state licenseis required to be considered for this position, you must be in good standing with the local Realtor board and have sales experience to be successful.
