Patty's passion for the arts and sciences is evident in her participation in fundraising and community programs for cultural organizations and local schools. Serving on the Executive Board of the Guilds of the Segerstorm Center for the Arts, Patty has worked tirelessly to bring the arts to the children in the community. Recognizing the importance of art education, Patty has sponsored various arts programs in the Newport Mesa School District.
As Executive Director of her family's foundation, she has been responsible for raising in excess of $1 million for medical research to find a cure for paralysis--a personal cause motivated by a surfing accident in 1998 that rendered her son a quadriplegic.
