Melissa Monokroussos

After teaching for more than twenty years, Melissa is excited to join the Sullivan Team at Compass Real Estate. Melissa has followed the real estate market for years and has a keen interest in residential real estate as well as design. After buying and selling multiple personal homes over the years, Melissa is eager to help guide buyers and sellers through this process.Melissa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Reading/Literacy from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. She has taught at various levels in New York, Italy and Seattle, as well as in a university faculty role with student teachers. She is the mom of three boys and is active in the public school system. She enjoys working with the community and has served as a board member for the Parent Teacher Association, as well as a co-leader of the Newton South FORJ chapter. She has volunteered as a special education advocate for families and coached youth soccer. Prior to relocating to Newton with her family, Melissa lived in upstate New York, Italy and Seattle. She understands the challenges and rewards that come from relocation and looks forward to helping buyers through this process. Melissa enjoys building relationships and meeting new people. Listening, strong communication skills, honesty, attention to detail, and dedication to the client are assets that Melissa brings to every transaction. A home purchase or sale is an important part of one's life, and Melissa aims to make the transaction a positive experience.
