Business Philosophy

Living in Silicon Valley since before it was called that. It was like many small towns of the 1950s – 60s. Full of apricot and prune orchards where my first job was cutting cots in the Los Gatos Blossom Hill orchards. Growing up with immigrant parents from Sweden and Australia and being the oldest with 4 siblings helped to make life fun and adventurous. Whom ever got there first, got whatever there was to get first. I remember my first real job at The Yardstick fabric and custom drapery business. My boss, the owner gave me what has turned out to be very valuable advice. “Kay you will be successful if you understand and focus on these 3 things: computers, finance and real estate”. As it turns out he was right.

At 21 years old I drove with 2 girlfriends around the US visiting 39 states in 3 months. And since I have traveled many parts of the world including; Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Caribbean, BVIs, Fiji, New Zealand, Tasmania and Australia. I love to find out how others live. Summer is my favorite time of year since I take pleasure in everything water.

Having worked in high tech since the 70’s at HP, Intel and many others has given me a great insight to the diversity of people that call this area home. I have also rebuilt homes and managed properties in the bay area each gaining in value. I’m a bit of a work-a-holic and love it.

My 3 grandkids call me Gma and my favorite sports are wakeboarding, golf and walking. I love to spend time with our kids, grandkids, family and friends playing games. I have hiked the hills and walked the neighborhoods to find those unique gems hidden amongst the obstacles. You will most likely find me walking, hiking the paths in the hills or visiting open houses often with my husband, Wayne a San Francisco native. Please stop me and say hi. ;)
