... moreI am so thrilled to be doing our 6th annual, โKatieโs Favorite Things!โ If the title sounds a bit like Oprahโs Favorite Things โ it is intentional. As a lot of you know I am a huge fan of Oprah; the type of leader she is and the impact she has had on people worldwide โ especially women. When Oprah had her daytime show, I always loved watching her annual Favorite Things show and thought how fun it would be for me to try to do that one day. Since 2017 I have been hosting โKatieโs Favorite Thingsโ on Facebook Live and I am thrilled to do it again this year! If you missed it live โ here is the replay!

#1: Post consistently. Just like any other social media platform, consistency is the name of the game. I recommend posting 3-5 times per week on LinkedIn.
#2: Connect with others. LinkedIn is like the ultimate networking party. Itโs a great place to connect with a wide variety of people

#3: Optimize your profile. You want to make sure you have an updated photo, an updated cover photo, your title, your contact information and use the About and Experience sections to showcase who you are.ย
DONโTS
#1: Donโt spam. Thereโs nothing worse than connecting with someone and the first thing they send you is a link to something. Donโt do this! Take the time to build genuine connections.ย
#2: Donโt just post listings. Listings can be a part of your posting strategy but not the only thing. Share your expertise with tips on real estate, your local market and other helpful information and insights.ย
#3: Donโt post and run. Itโs okay to schedule your posts โ but be sure to check your notifications so you can respond and engage. Donโt set it and forget it!ย
