Business PhilosophyIt's pretty simple, actually: I will never insult your intelligence by telling you what you want to hear; I am going to tell you what you need to know in order to have a successful real estate transaction (and preserve your sanity in the process).Awards and DesignationsI am a designated Global Luxury Specialist, and have been trained in the marketing of upper-tier properties. I have also been trained in the marketing of antique homes and new construction.CT Shoreline and River Valley-area Properties, Luxury Properties, Condominiums, Antique Homes, New Construction, Weekend/Vacation Properties, Rental Properties (year-round and seasonal), Sellers and Buyers, First-Time Buyers, Relocation BuyersCommunity InvolvementI am a member of the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
I was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens (Bellerose, to be specific). After attending public schools (PS 133, PS 172 and Martin Van Buren High School), I studied at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in TV/Radio Communications in 1981.
Fortunate to already be situated in "The Big Apple", I began my post-collegiate career as a publicist in firms specializing in the entertainment industry. In 1983 I began a love affair with the world of soap operas (both daytime and primetime) that lasted nearly two decades. As an editor at various publications devoted to this genre, I had the opportunity to meet and interview scores of actors, producers, writers and directors, and to attend industry functions such as The Daytime Emmy Awards. (I was in the audience the night Susan Lucci finally took home the gold statue.) While working as the senior editor of Soap Opera Weekly magazine, I was tapped to edit the hardcover book "Love and Dishes: The Soap Opera Cookbook " (Hearst, 1996), featuring recipes, anecdotes and biographies of soap opera actors popular at the time. Little did I know how useful my journalistic and public relations skills would be once I became a Realtor.
Fast forward to 2002. My family and I are now happily ensconced on the Connecticut Shoreline in Madison. My days as a journalist behind me, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. Given my previous occupations, I'm what you call a People Person -- I truly enjoy meeting new people, and finding out what makes them tick. I've found that this is an absolute must when a Realtor works with a client. In order to find you the perfect dwelling (or to assist you in the one you're marketing), I have to know who you are, in order to provide the best service possible.
Communities I ServeI market in most towns comprising New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties, including (but not limited to) Madison, Guilford, Clinton, Branford, North Branford, East Haven, New Haven, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Killingworth, Haddam, Chester, Durham, Woodbridge, Old Lyme and Stonington. If your interest lies in a city or state outside my marketing sphere, I will refer you to an appropriate Coldwell Banker sales representative.
