Ernie, born and raised in Los Angeles, worked for five years in luxury hospitality environments as a hotel concierge and tennis professional, which inspired his love of creating memorable experiences for his clients.As a child of divorced parents, Ernie was always self-conscious about sharing a small one-bedroom condo with his mom, stepdad and sister. It seemed like all of his friends lived in gorgeous mansions in Encino, Woodland Hills, and Calabasas, and that their lifestyle was simply out of reach. This motivated Ernie to explore ways to help his clients of varying affluence; the American Dream is not limited to only the wealthy.His two favorite books are "The Power Broker" by Robert Caro, and "City of Quartz" by Mike Davis. The former is about Robert Moses, who was the mastermind behind the massive transformation of New York City's landscape and architecture from the 1920s through the 1970s, while the latter covers the formation of early Los Angeles. Ernie is obsessed with history and has a love of real estate because it provides investors with a monetary benefit while also having an intangible historical value that cannot be matched by any other investment class. Cryptocurrency and equities are great and have a place in any investment portfolio, but nothing beats the allure of a beautiful property, especially when it's yours.The attention to detail and personal skills Ernie developed as a tennis professional are what he attributes to his personal success. The hours of practice, analysis and refinement that gave him success on court are the same principles he brings to the real estate industry. Ernie still runs small clinics for adult beginners and a high performance junior tennis academy in Westchester and Malibu, and lives with his wife, Lana, and their two cats, Gizmo and Koko.
