My background is in Education. I am a teacher at heart, and LOVE selling homes. Why does an educator make a good real estate agent?

Communication- Teachers must successfully communicate to parents, teachers, and other professionals, both formally and informally. This skill comes in handy when working with buyers, sellers, other realtors, lenders, appraisers, inspectors, etc... I guarantee my clients timely feedback and professional communication.

Organization-Creating lesson plans, grading tests, attending meetings, fielding emails and phone calls are just some of the variety of activities a teacher covers and organizes during their normal duties. These organizational skills pay off big time in the world of real estate as one juggles the daily tasks of marketing properties, negotiating deals, and monitoring the marketplace, just to name a few.

Conflict Resolution-Educators often are the peacekeepers between students, parents, and other teachers. This skill translates to greater bargaining and a smoother transaction for my clients.

Empathy and Guidance-My ability to relate to and educate others can be seen in the way I guide my clients throughout the journey from the first meeting to the closing table. Buyers and sellers need someone who is patient and willing to explain the process with its many steps along the way.

Life Long Learner-Just as teachers are continuing to educate themselves and put in the long hours to do their best for their students; so do real estate agents need to continuously keep up to date with the local market, technologies, marketing strategies, and paperwork. I work the atypical hours to go the extra mile for my current AND future clients.
