I was born in Dallas, Texas, and am the youngest of 14. Growing up in a large family, my parents instilled in every one of us to love unconditionally. I take this to heart in all that I do. Having 5 brothers that served in the military, I was able to witness the common comradeship, devotion, and endurance they maintained while faced with the most challenging circumstances in their lives. Because of that I am humbled and proud. So, for those that have served our country, I thank you!

I’m married to Matt “Bubba” Vanhoof, a Journeyman Lineman for IBEW International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a subcontract with the local power company. We have one of life’s greatest gifts, a daughter and two grandchildren. My hobby is ancestry research, I’m amazed on the findings on what makes us resilient in life.
