Gov. Abbott highlights property tax relief at inaugural ceremony
For the third time, Gov. Greg Abbott took the oath of office Jan. 17 during an inauguration ceremony at the Texas State Capitol. Abbott noted Texas has a budget surplus, and he expects to use that to help with property taxes. “We will use that budget surplus to provide the largest property tax cut in Texas history,” he said.
