75-Year-Old, Frank Lloyd Wright-Style Home in SoCal Is Listed for $2.5M
Abstract
With an open layout, walls of windows, a stone-stacked fireplace, custom built-ins throughout, and lots of interior wood, the 2,557-square-foot home is reminiscent of many Wright houses. Segura calls the property "Very peaceful and serene." Site-specific architecture was key to the home's construction. Just as Wright did with many of his homes, Simison designed the property to integrate with the landscape. The home is nestled into a cul-de-sac, with lush plantings. The home is divided into two wings, with the bedrooms on one side and common living spaces on the other. The home is set on nearly a quarter-acre and includes a backyard and sunken, brick courtyard. The home is staged with period furnishings, including Barcelona chairs and an Eames chair, which could be sold to the buyer, Segura says.
