California and Hawaii Projects Named 2022 RAISE Grant Recipients
Abstract
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited the Port of Los Angeles to announce a $20 million infrastructure grant. The funds are part of the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) program. A total of $2.2 billion was made available through the program this year and US DOT received $13 billion in applications for the funding. Hawaii had two projects valued at $49.8 million. "The projects that rose to the top are those that demonstrated clear and compelling value to the American people," Buttigigieg said. "A total of eight projects were chosen for $119.6 million in funding.
