While editing this issue, I haven’t been able to get Joni Mitchell out of my head. Yes, that Joni Mitchell—specifically, her 1970 hit “Big Yellow Taxi” and the line “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.” I miss my small garden. Austin dropped numerous spots on US News and World Report's new Best Places to Live list. As ABJ Editor Colin Pope reports, this may be a good thing: "I see a city that can't keep this up. I see a city that has grown mightier during the last three economic downtowns and bucked all the bad trends, but a city that could soon be rocked wildly by similar trends. Sayings such as 'the bigger they are the harder they fall' stand the test of time for a reason."
