The Dallas Central Appraisal District has received 176,337 protests for residential and business properties. The deadline for the Texas tax protest was May 15th, but mail was still being processed, so the number of protests from home appraisals nears 200,000. According to Cheryl Jordan, the office received 178,358 grievances in 2020. This is higher than the 147,665 protests during last year. The number of protest in Collin County have risen 16% when comparing it to last year. As of Thur...
