Newly Redone Home From ‘Outgrown’ Finds Buyer in a Flash

A five-bedroom cottage in a hot market like Boise, ID, that’s close to everything and was remodeled by the “Boise Boys” stars? You don’t see that often.

Listed at $579,900, the remodeled residence received an offer that was accepted in about a week.

Although originally built in 1940, the 1,852-square-foot charmer was recently renovated by Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson on their new HGTV show, “Outgrown.”

As the title implies, on “Outgrown,” the two remodeling experts step in to help homeowners redo the properties they bought some time ago, but no longer meet their needs.

The current owners purchased the place in 2014 when it was listed for $215,000. They fell in love with it mostly because of the stellar location within walking distance of the city, the university, and the river.

But two kids and a dog later, the family was bursting at the seams. They called on the “Boise Boys” stars to create a new floor plan that would flow better.

Custom collaboration

In walked Caldwell and Robertson, to open up the dining area, kitchen, and living room. They also refinished the hardwood floors, added wood beams, and put up fresh paint.

For the custom-designed kitchen, the space now has quartz counters, a full backsplash, stainless-steel appliances, and an island.

They also added antique glass doors to an inset cupboard, making it a design piece as well as practical storage space.

But the real tail wagger is the custom kick-out dog-feeding station with room for water and food bowls, located in the bottom of the new window seat.

In addition to the newly refreshed public areas, there are three bedrooms downstairs and two on the main level, with a bathroom on each floor.

Any of the flexible spaces could be used as multipurpose rooms, an office, studio, or yoga room.

A bonus room and laundry room are also downstairs.

Out back there’s a dining patio and a conversation area with a fire pit.

In addition, there’s a spacious, detached garage with extra room for a workshop.

Caldwell and Robertson’s business is known as Timber and Love, and their crew also refreshed the home’s exterior, adding a new paint color and planter boxes. And a new front porch and a wood door add character.

The home was listed as move-in ready, and it looks like someone will be doing just that!
