nPlan Promises Better Risk Management Through AI for $11B UK Rail Project
Abstract
London-based start-up nPlan recently secured work on an $11 billion-UK railroad program. nPlan's system uses deep learning to model an owner's way of handling projects using data from its previous projects. The company provides "constructive criticism at an actionable level," says Dev Amratia, chief executive officer of nPlan. The company is not alone in harnessing AI in the quest for predictable project outcomes. A trial review of a major job predicted 80% of the risks. The tool will eventually replace QSRA, says Lisa Silander.
