How can you identify if an estate agent is legit?

Their real estate agent agreement will be straightforward and professional. All charges, what to expect from your estate agent, what is required of you as the seller, and any other expenses will be detailed in the contract. If the estate agent contract is unclear, there's probably anything they're trying to hide, indicating they're not 'legit.'

A legitimate estate agent will also not be pushy. This is because they will have faith in their skill and will not need to compel you to choose them because they will have faith in you seeing it as well.

Any estate agent who tries to persuade you to use them to sell your home is probably not confident in their own talents, which is a clue you shouldn't trust them either.
