Syska Hennessy Group named Scott Bull managing director of its Atlanta office. Bull is a business development professional with more than 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction field.

 

Mark Gettig

McMillan Pazdan Smith has named Mark Gettig to the role of chief operating officer. Previously the president of LifeMade, a division of Jadex Inc., a manufacturing company based in Greer, S.C., Gettig has worked in finance, operations and general management for Jarden Corp., Unilever and Bose.

Rick Bruining

Nashville-based BELL Construction has hired Rick Bruining as justice division project executive. Bruining brings more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry and 21 years devoted exclusively to the justice sector.

 

Maria Molina

Coastal Construction Group has appointed Maria Molina as vice president of people and culture at the Miami-based firm. Molina brings 16 years of experience in managing employee relations, benefits, full-cycle recruiting and performance and talent management.

Chris Long

Kaufman Lynn Construction has promoted Chris Long from chief operating officer to president of the company. Long has more than 35 years of experience, including leadership roles at Kaufman Lynn and other top construction firms, including Balfour Beatty Construction, where he was responsible for project management of education-related projects.

Ben Baffer

Kaufman Lynn also announced that Ben Baffer has returned to the firm as senior vice president. Baffer has 34 years of industry experience, including more than 11 years with Kaufmann Lynn, which he left in 2019. He most recently served as senior vice president of operations at Plaza Construction Co. in Miami.

Marlon Starr

Jacksonville, Fla.-based engineering, architecture and consulting firm RS&H has named Marlon Starr chief legal officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s legal activities and serving as a member of the executive team. Starr brings nine years of experience as the senior vice president and general counsel of a digital advertising and marketing company.

Craig Bryant

Manhattan Construction Co. has named Craig Bryant vice president of Southwest Florida operations, based in Naples. Bryant has held project management and executive leadership positions across his 23-year commercial construction career, primarily in Southwest Florida.

Jason Lowe

Jason Lowe was promoted to director of the facilities business unit for Nashville-based Barge Design Solutions. Lowe brings 21 years of experience as a civil engineer and project manager and will oversee coordination of multidisciplinary efforts for the industrial, commercial, military, government and energy markets.

Toby Manulak

Moss Construction promoted Toby Manulak to senior vice president in the firm’s Tampa office, where he will oversee construction operations, corporate reporting, risk assessment, leadership development and business systems.

 

Said El Said

Engineering, planning and construction management firm Neel-Schaffer has hired Said El Said as transportation systems manager based in the firm’s Nashville office. El Said joins Neel-Schafer after 18 years with the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation. El Said has a doctorate in transportation philosophy from Vanderbilt University.

Don Del Nero

Don Del Nero was named vice president and senior director of tunnel engineering at WSP USA. Based in Atlanta, he brings more than 33 years of underground engineering experience to WSP, including more than 100 miles of tunneling and trenchless underground project experience.

Mark Johnnie

Balfour Beatty promoted Mark Johnnie to senior vice president and region manager of Southeast civil operations. He oversees the delivery of highway, bridge and water projects in the Southeast.

 

Dan Paulus

Dan Paulus was hired as director of business development for Shawmut Design and Construction’s new office in West Palm Beach, Fla. With 20 years of industry expertise, Paulus will focus on helping grow the firm’s South Florida market share in the commercial and interiors sectors.

Anthony McMullanKevin Harris

& McDonnell promoted Anthony McMullan to pipeline and facilities business line manager in Atlanta and hired Kevin Harris to lead electrical design project teams in Melbourne, Fla. McMullan has served as a project manager while at Burns & McDonnell for key clients like Duke Energy and Southern Company Gas. Harris is responsible for the continued development of pipeline and facilities growth in the Southeast.
