David Robison has been promoted to CEO at Audubon Engineering Co. LLC, Houston. During his 11-year tenure with AEC, Robison has held several positions and served as president of Audubon Field Solutions LLC for the last three years.

Steve McGough

Sugar Land, Texas-based software solution company HCSS has named Steve McGough as president and CEO. McGough joined HCSS in 2005 as chief operating officer and was named president in 2015.

Garver’s transportation planning and traffic team leader Nicci Tiner is the first woman to be named president of the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineering, which provides support for students and faculty in the University of Arkansas civil engineering department. Tiner will serve as president for the 2022-2023 term.

Structure Tone Southwest has added several new key leaders and promoted a number of professionals in its Dallas office. Jody Reed has been named senior vice president, Chris Shackelford has been promoted to project executive and Ryan Davis has been promoted to operations manager. New hires include Blake Christian, who will serve as vice president of operations in Dallas, and Pete Kobelt, a CLT pioneer who will serve as the new director of mass timber.

Alston Construction has promoted Scott Matthews to vice president/general manager. Matthews joined Alston’s Dallas team in November 2014 as a project manager.

AECOM announced several hires and promotions across Texas. Jewels Carter has joined AECOM as vice president and national zero emission bus facility lead in Houston. Nandita Kaundinya was recently promoted to market sector leader for AECOM’s surface transportation group in the U.S. West. Julia (Colman) Hultgren has joined the firm as smart mobility manager in Austin. Tim Simon has been hired as a senior transit planner and project manager in Austin.

Jennifer Macks

Jennifer Macks has been promoted to vice president and director of design-build at Gilbane Building Co., based in Austin. In this newly created position, she will lead Gilbane’s design-build program.

Perkins&Will has hired Dan Thomas to serve as health principal for its Dallas studio.

Smith Seckman Reid Inc. (SSR) has promoted Scott Terry to principal in its Dallas office. He previously served as operations director of the Dallas and Fort Worth offices. SSR also made several new hires in March and April. In Dallas, Karen Espensen was hired as project manager and Jonathan Olivarez as technology consultant. In Houston, Matthew Simonelli was hired as senior project manager, Ozzy Rodriguez as electrical EIT and Adam Perales as technology associate.

Harry L. Foreman joins Burns & McDonnell to lead the firm’s remediation construction team out of Houston.

Wesley Thiele has joined Grace Hebert Curtis Architecture as higher education practice leader, based in Lafayette, La.

In Texas, Freese and Nichols promoted seven associates to principal: Jason Afinowicz, water resource practice leader, Houston; Jimmy Gibson III, environmental services practice leader, Fort Worth; Anne Hoskins, manager, treatment/transmission/utilities, Austin; Charley Mock, sales manager, Fort Worth; James Naylor, manager, North Texas water/wastewater treatment, Denton; Stephanie Neises, group manager, Central Texas water/wastewater master planning, Austin; and Robin Shermer, marketing director, Fort Worth.

CRTKL announced a series of promotions in its Dallas office. Elevated to associate principal: Angela Crum and Sean Farrell. Promoted to senior associate: Eddie Castaneda, Kevin Kretschmar, Subhojit Sinha and Trina Laing. Promoted to associate: Alli Giacometto, Britney Glenn, Diana Torres-Mella, Hector Zumalacarregui, Shelly Zhu, Siji Lu and Vanessa Castaneda.

Ryan Gootee General Contractors LLC, Metairie, La., has hired Kevin Haslauer as a senior project manager, Lee Cooper as a project manager, William Phillips as a project engineer and John Boyd and Ron Garic as project superintendents.

Charles Johnson has joined Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) as a senior architectural project manager in the Dallas office. Johnson has more than 30 years of experience in architectural services and managing healthcare construction projects.

Atkins has appointed Aaron Autry as the new central sector (Texas, Okla., Ark. and La.) manager for the company’s Dept. of Transportation Business Unit. Autry has been with the company for over 25 years.

Geoffrey “Jeff” Leaf has been hired at Merrick & Co. as the local civil engineering lead for the high-performance facilities team in its San Antonio office.

Zachry Group announced two new additions to the Growth and Customer Development Group in its Pasadena, Texas office. New hire Chris Harrison and company transfer Stacy Sheffield have both been named senior business development managers.

Joeris has hired Joel Benavides as director of higher education and healthcare in its Dallas office. Benavides brings 10 years of experience as an architect to the role, and previously served as vice president at HKS.

Lynne Roussel has been promoted to regional manager of geotechnical services, Louisiana, at Terracon’s Baton Rouge office.

Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing announced promotions across its offices. In Austin, Raul Hernandez was promoted to superintendent; in Houston, PD McIntyer was promoted to senior project estimator and Eddie Silva to project manager; and in Dallas, David Mequet was promoted to senior project estimator and Cameron Beck to project manager.

E.E. Reed Construction has hired two new superintendents. Gary Cook has 37 years of experience and is currently working on the Cedar Port 1.2M project in Baytown, Texas. Phillip Cooke has 12 years of experience and is currently working at the Pinto Park Site 23 project in Houston.

Manson Construction Co. has promoted Belinda Rodriguez to offshore purchasing agent in its regional office in Houma, La. Rodriguez has been with Manson for 15 years.
