Jury finds L.A. skyscraper developer paid Jose Huizar more than $1 million in bribes
Abstract
Jose Huizar would give stacks of $100 bills to his wife, mother or brother, three family members testified. A federal jury found Shen Zhen New World I guilty of five counts of bribery and three counts of wire fraud. It was the second conviction of a developer accused of paying off Huizr, who left office in 2020. In July, a court in L.A. for $500,000 in $5,000 and $1.5 million in $500 and $500.5million in $2.5m in $50,000. The trial is set to go on trial. In September, a judge will go to Huizor. He is scheduled to go to trial for $100,000 for $2,000 to $10,000 of bribe and $3,000 on a $1,000-a-year-old bribe.
